What can I expect from tutoring?
You will receive 1 hour of dedicated maths tutoring in your own home. The work will be tailored to your level and needs. Each tutee is different and the work will be specially planned to help you make the most progress. Your mathematical misconceptions will be addressed.
Will I get extra homework?
You will choose whether there is extra work set at the end of each session. You will make more progress if you practise and consolidate the skills learnt in the session and we can follow up on any problems in the next session.​
The number of sessions you take is up to you as is how frequent they are. If you want the same slot each week it is advisable to block book these as I may have other tutees who want those times.
How many sessions do I need?
Is there a cancellation fee? (24hr Policy)
To cancel a session, with no charge, you need to give 24 hours notice. You can cancel up to 1 hour before the session for a fee of 50% of the session charge. If I arrive at your house then the full fee is payable. For regular, longterm customers flexible terms apply.
You will need to provide your own pens, paper, pencils and maths equipment such as the calculator you use in class and for exams. If you use a textbook at school it is advisable to have a copy available. You will also need to know any target and predicted grades or levels. Worksheets and other resources will be provided by me.
